Florence, giorno due...

We woke up and checked out of the hotel and then ate breakfast and walked to the Uffizi Gallery where we meet Mike and Georg, who were holding a place in line. (Thanks guys!) We then strolled through the Uffizi for almost four hours, enjoying the art pieces. We viewed paintings by Botticcelli (The Birth of Venus), Michelangelo, and DaVinci (The Annunciation and The Adoration of the Magi). On the way back to the cars we stopped by Mr. Kebob for lunch. Love that place!

From Florence we took the back roads via the Tuscan countryside and drove to Venice where we checked into the Hotel Palladio. We then walked to a local restaurant where I had a porcini mushroom pasta to die for.
